There are two different types of network switches; managed and unmanaged.
A managed switch is one that has an IP address and many configurable options. Features such as VLANs (Virtual LANs), port mirroring, SNMP monitoring, and QoS make these switches much more robust for larger networks.
An unmanaged switch is a very basic device delivering only data to all the ports at the same time. For smaller networks, under 25 devices, these switches are common.
All switches that we sell are gigabit switches (fastest speed) and the best quality, so even if your network only needs a basic unmanaged switch, you can rest assured it’s the best available!
